tl;dr Emotionally abusive co-worker quit earlier this summer.
Act 5: Standing firm
Contrary to my hints in my last post more than a year ago, this is the only post of mine since (sorry everyone!).
EAC (Emotionally Abusive Co-worker) apparently moved on in the middle of this year (Year 7 of this long ordeal). YME (Younger Male Employee) and NFE (New Female Employee) quit by mid-last year.
In her final weeks, EAC ignored me completely, admitting that she didn’t care to be a team player and asking if the baked goods I made were expired – a complete about-(b*tch)face that probably came with her perception of having nothing more to lose/prove. Thanks to Dr. T and the team on this forum, I have come to expect this behavior from cluster-Bs, and have been beyond caring. Our entire team did go out for a farewell lunch as a unit, but only at the behest of our new manager of about a year.
The only one left in EAC’s “entourage” is a senior-level co-worker who, since the blow-up with EAC two years ago, tacitly took her side and continues to sneak out for lunch with other teammates without informing me. Our manager said that he’s not truthful in his words. For me, that’s one more in the “ignore” column.
